About Jesus
Jesus is, without a doubt, the most influential human who has ever lived. Some hate Him; others love Him. But no person’s name has ever been proclaimed as far and wide as Jesus’ has been.
At Redeemer Church, we trust that Jesus is God’s proof that He loves us. God knew that creation was broken, in need of healing, and He sent His son to be a part of this creation to rescue and to heal it from within. To borrow from an early Christian writer: God became what we are so that we can become what God is. God wants us to enjoy abundant, meaningful life.
In the Bible, God has continually been reaching out to people, even when they reject Him. Jesus’ life shows the same pattern. Jesus spent His life among the people who were often called “unworthy” and “unwanted” by society. He welcomed them. And then He transformed them. He empowered them to live new lives, and to go out and share this invitation with others. With this small beginning, Jesus transformed the world.
In Jesus, we know that God loves us. God wants us to have a new start. God wants us to live lives of freedom. And God wants us to share with others that their bonds have been broken, too.
Jesus invites you on a journey. He wants you to follow Him, and see the unbelievable things He will do in your life and through your life. All you have to do is choose to trust that He will guide you.
