Criteria for Testing Truth:
Correction
Does it make you want to correct other’s mistakes? Or do you want to work on yourself?
Conviction
Do you feel condemned because you have areas that need work? Or do you feel FREE to run—to go and sin no more?
Challenging
Does it only confirm what you already feel and believe? Or does it challenging some of your thoughts and behaviors?
John 8:58-59 NIV
“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.
John 9:5 NIV
“I am the light of the world.”
John 8:6b NIV
“Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger.”
John 9:6 NIV
Then he spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man’s eyes.
John 9:25 NIV
He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”
