Dear Redeemer Church Members,

In accordance with Redeemer’s Bylaws, a congregational meeting will be held on Sunday, June 28, at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary for the purpose of voting on the call of Dave Brown as the next Lead Pastor. While anyone may attend the meeting, only members are eligible to vote.

As many of you know, Dave served our congregation faithfully for almost five years as Discipleship Pastor and Executive Pastor. Over the past nine months as Interim Lead Pastor, he has worked tirelessly and led diligently through a time of transition. Most importantly, Dave has demonstrated a deep love for Christ, a commitment to the faithful teaching of God’s Word, and a heart for shepherding people.

Prior to the meeting, we encourage every church member to prayerfully consider this important decision. Also, please continue to pray for Dave and his family, our church staff and leadership, and our congregation as we seek to follow God’s will together.

We are excited about what God has in store for Redeemer and trust Him to guide us every step of the way. Thank you for your faithfulness and commitment to the ministry of our beloved church.

In Christ,

Karen Grunst, Leadership Team Chair

Brandon Geister, Pastoral Search Committee Co-Chair

Kerrick Draper, Pastoral Search Committee Co-Chair

Dave Brown has served in full-time pastoral ministry for more than fifteen years and was ordained to Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Covenant Church in 2017. He holds a Master of Divinity from Trinity Anglican Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Student Ministry from Geneva College.

In addition to his pastoral experience, Dave has completed further training in congregational vitality, church revitalization, coaching, church planting, and leadership development. His ministry has consistently centered on preaching, teaching, discipleship, and helping churches grow in health, clarity, and mission.

Dave began serving at Redeemer Church in 2021 as Discipleship Pastor, later transitioned into the role of Executive Pastor in 2023, and has served as Interim Lead Pastor for the past eight months. During his time at Redeemer, he has helped lead discipleship strategy, staff development, preaching, organizational alignment, and pastoral care through seasons of growth and transition.

Dave’s philosophy of ministry is rooted in the conviction that people flourish when they are seen, heard, loved, and empowered. He is passionate about opening Scripture with God’s people, forming mature disciples of Jesus, and cultivating a church culture marked by theological depth, pastoral warmth, healthy leadership, and embodied mission.

Dave and his wife, Brandi, celebrated fifteen years of marriage earlier this June. Together, they have three children: Addison (8), Cason (6), and Colton (6). As a family, they enjoy being outside together, walking, hiking, traveling, and exploring new places. Dave considers it a deep privilege to serve Redeemer and has a genuine love for this congregation—its people, its staff, its lay leaders, and the work of the Spirit he has seen among them. His desire is to help Redeemer continue growing as a church that loves Jesus deeply, cares for one another faithfully, and bears witness to the kingdom of God in Tulsa and beyond.
