THE PREVAILING CONDITION
September 15, 2019 | Bill Clark
Anxiety is the prevailing condition that impacts a large percentage of people. God wants us to not be a slave to this anxiety, but seek to find what we are needing to release to Him, and in that find freedom. Bill Clark concludes our In Courage series with a powerful word of encouragement.

How anxiety became society's prevailing condition.
Luke 10:38-42 NIV
As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Psalm 46:10 NIV
Be still and know that I am God.
What are you holding tightly in your clenched fist that you need to turn over to God?
Dear God,
I am so afraid to open my clenched fists! Who will I be when I have nothing left to hold onto? Who will I be when I stand before you with empty hands? Please help me to gradually open my hands and to discover that I am not what I own, but what you want to give me. And what you want to give me is love-unconditional, everlasting love.
Amen
