Would you or your child or student like to be baptized?
At Redeemer, we believe that baptism is an act of obedience and a step of acknowledgement that you believe Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and walked out of the grave alive so that we could have abundant life. We would love to talk to you about baptism, answer any questions you may have and celebrate your next step of baptism. Let us know below!
A baby dedication is a ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes entire families, make a commitment before the Lord to raise that child according to God’s Word, so that one day, he or she might become a disciple of Jesus Christ. This ceremony also invites the congregation’s support for your family.
A baptism of an infant (or young child) is not about the child’s response to the Lord, but the family’s response to what God has already graciously done for him/her through Christ. In the New Testament, we see household baptisms, so we honor this tradition of our Christian ancestors. However, one day, that child must hear the gospel, believe in Jesus, repent from their sin, and receive the gift of salvation.
