Future Leaders
Student Sunday 2021
The future leaders of everything are the young people of today. So how we love and engage and lead our young people is actively shaping the future of the Church. Wopsle challenges us to take this truth to heart and work to engage with and empower young people.

The call to being a disciple is a call to making disciples.
“The best leaders lead today with tomorrow in mind by making sure they invest in leaders who will carry their legacy forward.” // John Maxwell
1. We should celebrate the faith of the next generation.
2 Timothy 1:5 NIV
I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.
2. We should encourage the gifting of the next generation.
2 Timothy 1:6-7 NIV
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
3. We should include the next generation in our testimony.
2 Timothy 1:8-9 NIV
So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,
4. We should pursue Jesus as an example to the next generation.
2 Timothy 1:13-14 NIV
What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you—guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
