Matthew 6:9 NIV

Our Father in heaven, hallowed by your name.

Matthew 6:10 NIV

Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Mark 4:11a NIV

He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you.”

The kingdom of God is the timeless reign of an eternal, sovereign God both in the hearts of His children and in the entire created universe.

The kingdom of God is already, and not yet.

Psalm 145:13a NIV

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations.

Mark 1:14-15 NIV

After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. “The time has come,” he said.“The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

N.T. Wright

“When Jesus spoke of God’s kingdom, he was not talking about a heaven for which he was preparing his followers, but about something that was happening in and on this earth, through his work, then through his death and resurrection, and then through the Spirit-led work to which they would be called.”_
