PRESENCE
December 2 - December 24
The presence of God changes everything. When He arrived in the form of a human child to redeem the world, He completely flipped the idea of our incomplete lives. The season of advent is one where we remember the incomplete feeling that was only resolved by the literal, physical presence of Christ on this earth.
PROMISED PRESENCE
December 2 | Bill Clark
Jesus’ attitude of mercy was beautifully displayed in his interaction with the accused woman in John chapter 8. The mercy of Christ doesn’t excuse sin, but it has a transformative effect on those who experience it. Be transformed by putting on an attitude of mercy every day.
REVOLUTIONARY PRESENCE
December 9 | Adam Barnett
The news that Mary was going to have a baby, and that baby would be the son of God, should have made Mary panic and fear. Instead, she praised God and focused on the call He placed on her life. Adam Barnett continues our Advent series, Presence, with the reminder that God has the ability to do the impossible.
ZECHARIAH’S SONG
December 16 | Bill Clark
Bill Clark continues our Presence series with a brief but powerful message from the song of Zechariah described in Luke 1:67-79.
A PRESENCE THAT DEMANDS A RESPONSE
December 23 | Adam Barnett
The message that the Savior has arrived and God’s presence is with us is one that was met with immediate responses from the Shepherds talked about in Luke 2. What will our response to this monumental news be? Adam Barnett poses this important question as we head toward Christmas Eve.
